Rescues are overcrowded.
Through visuals I can share the pain and joy of rescue from my point of view. Give a voice to animals through art in hopes of encouraging community involvement and thoughtful conversations about the challenges rescues and shelters face because of overcrowding and how the dogs are the ones that suffer.
It’s simple, the overcrowding is happening because people are still buying from reckless breeders and puppy mills and still allowing their dogs to roam unaltered.
Advocate. Reverse the cycle.
As a graphic designer I wanted to provide awareness materials that educators, business owners, workplaces, and rescue supporters could share. Not only will you be getting the message in front of people, but all proceeds go back into boosting more messages on social media to get in front of an even broader audience. Speak for them.
Share the message on social media. Speak for the voiceless.
The idea was to start an awareness campaign for a crisis that is not talked about enough. Dogs are dying for no reason except humans are failing them by supporting reckless breeders and not spaying and neutering community pets and roaming animals. Designer dogs are also an unhealthy trend – even though they are cute!

The Rescue Dog Project is an awareness campaign, NOT a hate or shame campaign. The goal isn't to tell people how to spend their money or to not love a certain breed. Rescuers love all animals but just know too closely that shelters and rescues need us. Proceeds from the store and digital downloads go towards the continued effort of advocating for shelters – in an effort to decrease breeding or increase volunteers, change a few minds or create a few more fosters – bring communities together for a good cause – whatever it is, let's just reverse the cycle.
